Saracens solve fly half crisis

Saracens have recruited South African Luke Smith as emergency fly half cover.

Smith, who featured for Rotherham last season following a stint with Natal Sharks, goes straight into the side for Saturday's friendly against Agen.

French international Thomas Castaignede will miss most of the season because of injury, while Jannie De Beer is currently nursing a leg problem, although he should be back in action sooner than initially expected.

Smith will probably start the Premiership campaign for Saracens at Wasps on Sunday week, with De Beer returning shortly after that.
