England - Romania tickets still available
September 28, 2001

The Rugby Football Union have confirmed that England's November clashes with Australia and South Africa are officially sold out but tickets are still available for the visit of Romania.

Over 30,000 tickets for the game against Romania have already been sold thanks to substantial demand from the RFU's member clubs and an innovative ticket offer that gave fans purchasing four or more tickets for February's Tetley Bitter Cup Final the option of tickets for this fixture at no extra cost.

Demand for tickets has also been heightened by England's eleven match unbeaten run which has already included defeats of both South Africa (home and away) and World Champions Australia. Additional interest has been spurred by the re-scheduled Lloyds TSB Six Nations decider against Ireland in Dublin on October 20th that was previously postponed at the height of the Foot and Mouth crisis.

Paul Vaughan, Commercial Director at the RFU said, "The number of tickets already sold indicates that the success of the national team has led to an extraordinary level of interest in international rugby in this country. For the Romania fixture in particular, we aim to give newcomers to the stadium the chance to come and savour the unique atmosphere of Twickenham, the home of England Rugby, on matchday".

Tickets for the England v Romania at Twickenham on Saturday 17th November are available from www.ticketmaster.co.uk or by calling 0870 902 0000
