RFU Academy Managers announced

The Academy managers and assistant managers for the ten England Rugby Academies have now been confirmed. They are as follows:

Newcastle Falcons: Manager - Paul Mackinnon/Assistant Man - John Fletcher

Sale Sharks: Manager - Marty Hulme/Assistant Man - Mark Nelson, James Wade

Leeds Tykes: Manager - Stuart Lancaster/Assistant Man - Tony Stanger

Leicester Tigers: Manager - Andy Key/Assistant Man - Dusty Hare

Northampton Saints: Manager - Andrew Street/Assistant Man - Brett Taylor, David Palethorpe

Saracens: Manager - Pat Jerram/Assistant Man - Mike Hynard

London Wasps: Manager - Rob Smith/Assistant Man - Allan Powell

NEC Harlequins: Manager - Tony Russ/Assistant Man - Colin Osborne

London Irish: Manager - Corin Palmer/Assistant Man - Toby Booth

Bristol Shoguns: Manager - Paul Hull/Assistant Man - Peter Johnson

David Shaw the RFUs Director of Academies said "Since we announced the World Class Performance Plan in August last year we have been delighted to work in partnership with so many clubs to expand and enhance their academy programmes and to jointly appoint the academy staff. The standard of candidates for the managerial positions was very high but we have selected a group of people who are dedicated to developing young people into better players. The support we have had from the clubs has been tremendous and we hope to make further announcements regarding additional academies and appointments very shortly."
