Logan to undergo surgery
May 7, 2002

Wasps wing Kenny Logan will miss the last round of Zurich Premiership matches and Scotland's tour of North America to undergo surgery on his thumb.

"This is a great disappointment for me, as it will not only put me out of he play-offs, but also the Scotland tour," Logan said.

Wasps will also be without flanker Paul Volley for their game at relegation-haunted Bath on Sunday.

Volley has broken his thumb, meaning that Wasps will need to reshuffle their back-row resources.

If they beat Bath, then it will keep alive their chances of automatic Heineken Cup qualification next season, having embarked on a prolific winning run since talismanic skipper Lawrence Dallaglio returned from injury.

Dallaglio, despite carrying a hand injury, is set to feature against Bath.

The tendon problem is thought to require surgery though, casting doubt on Dallaglio's availability to captain England in the non-cap Prudential tour game against the Barbarians at Twickenham on May 26.
