Swansea's New Zealand-born prop Johnny Marsters has joined Saracens on a two-year contract.

The 29-year-old teams up for a second time with new Saracens coach Wayne Shelford, who was his boss for three seasons at North Harbour.

"I was looking at signing for Swansea for another couple of seasons when I heard that Wayne was coming to the UK," he said. "To have the chance to train and play alongside the likes of Richard Hill, Kyran Bracken, Thomas Castaignede and Tim Horan is really good."

Meanwhile Saracens lock Kris Chesney has signed a new three-year contract.

"I never considered going to a different club, but in many respects with a new coach, new players coming in and new ideas, Sarries is almost a new club," said Chesney, who has been with the Vicarage Road outfit for the past seven years.
