Cole won't be punished over Hernandez challenge

Chelsea defender Ashley Cole will not face any further action for his shin-high tackle on Javier Hernandez, the Football Association has confirmed.
Cole, 30 was shown a yellow card for the late challenge, which left Hernandez limping and meant he needed to be substituted during the Blues' 3-1 defeat to Manchester United on Sunday.
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson was angered by the tackle and claimed Cole should have been sent off, but the FA cannot punish the England left-back retrospectively because the officials took action to deal with the incident at the time.
Referee Phil Dowd elected to consult with his assistant on Sunday before deeming a yellow card to be a sufficient sanction.
It was uncertain how clear a view Dowd himself had of the offence, with the FA yet to receive his report from the game.
