Andy Murray is crediting a new regime, which has included an overhaul of his diet, for his fine recent run of form.

Murray is unbeaten in his past 17 matches, including three tournament wins, and breezed into the quarter finals of the BNP Paribas Masters with a mauling of Andy Roddick.

The Scot has looked far sharper on court and he feels changes in his preparation have made a big difference.

"I think there's a bit of difference in my approach to training and the diet; I feel pretty fresh," Murray, who faces Tomas Berdych on Friday, said. "I slept seven-and-a-half hours after playing both singles and doubles yesterday but still woke up feeling fresh. The diet has given me more energy."

But the change has come at a price for Murray who added: "I miss being able to pick up a menu and order what I want - like bread when you're waiting for your food to come in a restaurant.

"It can be quite frustrating when everyone else is dunking their bread in olive oil or smearing it in butter. It's a bit of a pain not being able to have a regular yoghurt, but it has been worth it."
