- Manny Pacquiao v Floyd Mayweather Jnr
Pacquiao ponders non-Floyd options
Manny Pacquiao's trainer Freddie Roach has told Floyd Mayweather Jnr that the Filipino is in no mood to wait around for a deal to be agreed.
Mayweather has earmarked May 5 for a showdown with Pacquiao, but negotiations have so far proved fruitless - and matters have been complicated by Mayweather's imminent 90-day jail term on domestic violence charges.
Roach is frustrated by the impasse, and says Pacquiao will not put his career on ice until Mayweather is ready and willing to get in the ring. "We're not going to wait for him - we're going to fight," Roach said, according to boxingscene.com.
According to Roach, Pacquiao's promoter Bob Arum has drawn up a list of alternatives to Mayweather: Lamont Peterson, Timothy Bradley, Juan Manuel Marquez and Miguel Cotto.
