Italy coach Cesare Prandelli says he is "still dreaming" after his side's unexpected 2-1 win over Germany set up a clash with defending champions Spain in the final of Euro 2012.

Germany were big favourites to win the semi-final clash in Warsaw on Thursday night but two goals from Mario Balotelli sent Italy through to the final in Kiev.

And after holding Spain to a 1-1 draw in their opening game in the group stage, they now fancy their chances of going one better. However, Prandelli is eager not to get carried away.

"I open my eyes but I'm still dreaming," the Italy coach said. "There's great satisfaction here because everyone has put so much work into this.

"But Spain will go into the game as favourites. They've been working on this for many years and have dominated every single contest. They are a brilliant side."

Former Fiorentina boss Prandelli has been linked with a return to club management following the conclusion of Euro 2012 but the 54-year-old insists his sole focus is Sunday's showdown with Spain.

Prandelli, whose contract is not due to expire until 2014, said: "I've said before, I've got a great relationship with the Italian Football Federation and I love the shirt.

"I do miss the everyday aspect of club football, of course, but that's as far as it goes."
