England recall for Arsenal's Wilshere

Arsenal star Jack Wilshere has been included in manager Roy Hodgson's England squad for week's friendly against Sweden.

Wilshere, 20, last appeared for England against Switzerland in the summer of 2011, which preceded a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

He has recently returned to action for the Gunners and he has proved himself to Hodgson to an extent that he has been handed the chance to add to his five England caps.

Steven Gerrard, fitness permitting, will win his 100th cap when he leads out the side in Stockholm.

Hodgson will use the occasion to take a look at some new faces, with Celtic star Fraser Forster given the nod following his standout efforts for Celtic against Barcelona in recent weeks.

Liverpool youngsters Raheem Sterling and Jonjo Shelvey have also been included, as has Everton's Leon Osman who could win his England debut at the age of 31.
