Luiz admits it's 'not good' at Chelsea

Chelsea defender David Luiz has confirmed that voices were raised in the Blues' dressing room after their 2-1 defeat against West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns made it four Premier League games without a victory.

BBC Radio Five Live and other media outlets reported that furious rows involving manager Roberto Di Matteo, staff and players could be heard in the aftermath of the loss.

Reports said shouting could be heard in the nearby home dressing room and the corridor outside as players, believed to include goalkeeper Petr Cech, voiced their anger about the defensive frailties that led to the defeat.

One club employee was reportedly heard saying: "Call yourselves a Champions League-winning side and you can't beat them?" A player apparently yelled: "That's rubbish, and you know it."

Luiz said: "We were upset and angry, disappointed because we should have won the game.

"There were raised voices. It's normal. This is a big club and we don't like to lose games. But all we can do now is look ahead to the next game.

"It's not good at the moment, because we started the season at the top of the league. But all the big teams have come to West Brom and it has not been easy for them. West Brom have a good philosophy and a great coach, but we are disappointed because Chelsea want to be top of the table always."

After winning seven and drawing one of their first eight Premier League fixtures, Chelsea suffered a highly controversial 3-2 defeat at home to Manchester United and have since drawn away to Swansea and at home to Liverpool before losing at the Hawthorns.

The Champions League holders face a crucial Group E trip to Juventus on Tuesday, and Luiz said: "What's past is past, and the future is Juventus. It will be difficult and Juventus are a great team. They are just one point behind us. This is the most important game in the group.

"In the Champions League, we have a great opportunity to qualify even though Juventus and Shakhtar are both great teams.

"But we will never forget how important the Premier League is. There is a bit of a gap at the top and we don't want to get too far behind the other teams. In two or three games, everything can change and Chelsea will be fighting for the top of the league again."

The Blues host Premier League leaders Manchester City in their next top-flight fixture
