Bale picks up hamstring injury in Spurs win
Gareth Bale could be out until Christmas after picking up a hamstring injury during Tottenham's win at Fulham.
The Wales winger hobbled off in the second half of Spurs' 3-0 victory at Craven Cottage after he appeared to overstretch in shooting at goal.
While Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas is confident Bale has suffered no long-term damage, the Portuguese admits Bale is likely to be out for a couple of weeks.
Spurs also lost Michael Dawson to a hamstring injury early in the game, but Villas-Boas says his captain will not be sidelined for long.
"Both Bale and Dawson have suffered hamstring muscle injuries," Villas-Boas said."One looks more serious than the other although both are controllable.
"With muscle injuries it's very difficult but it might keep him out for one or two weeks. Dawson a little bit less."
