Adam Booth has confirmed George Groves will fight on the same night as Carl Froch on May 25, but an opponent has yet to be revealed.

Froch takes on Mikkel Kessler for the IBF and WBA super-middleweight titles, and Groves is set to make his second appearance for new manager Eddie Hearn by featuring on the undercard at the O2 Arena.

Speaking to Buncey's Boxing Podcast on ESPN, Booth said: "George is chief support [to Froch] on May 25 and I've been working with Eddie [Hearn] over the weekend to get him a top-ten ranked opponent, so that he can force his situation of being nominated as a mandatory challenger."

Groves defeated Baker Barakat in Germany near the end of March to register the 18th victory of his career and remain unbeaten, and Booth is confident his man will improve on that record.

Booth said: "George is 18-0 now. Doing the business on May 25, he'll be 19-0. For quite a while with George he's been looking at every single middleweight and he's been saying 'I can beat him, I can beat him.'"
