Arsenal defender Johan Djourou has reiterated his stance that he would like to prolong his stay at Bundesliga side Hannover.

Djourou, 26, joined Hannover on loan in January until the end of the season and has since made ten league starts for the club, having struggled for first-team football at Arsenal.

The Switzerland international is enjoying his time at the AWD-Arena and is keen for his parent club to agree to extend his time in Germany.

"It would be fantastic if the clubs could agree on a deal," Djourou told Neue Presse Hannover on Tuesday. "I have been granted the chance to play here and I am getting better and better and slowly finding my old form."

Djourou feels it will be hard, though, to persuade Arsenal to let him leave the club. "It is a difficult situation since I still have two years left on my contract in London," he said.

The newspaper reports Arsenal could be willing to sell Djourou for €4 million, although the report suggests this fee could be too high for Hannover.
