Brooklyn following in his father's footsteps

David Beckham's eldest son Brooklyn has begun training with Premier League side Fulham.

Brooklyn is on course to become the next professional player in the family following his father's retirement at the end of last season.

And the 14-year-old played in a behind-closed-doors match for Fulham's under-15 side against Southend on Sunday, according to the Daily Mail.

The eldest son of the former England captain has also trained with Chelsea and Queens Park Rangers - other clubs close to the family's London home - while the Guardian reported earlier this month that Manchester United were considering signing up a Beckham for their academy for a second time.

Meanwhile, the paper also reports that Fulham manager Martin Jol has held talks with the club's academy director Huw Jennings with a view to incorporating more of the club's youth players into the senior squad.
