Tottenham captain Ledley King will return home from Germany after undergoing surgery on his groin injury on Tuesday.

The England defender has not played for Totternham since October, and was forced to go under the knife after failing to shake off the problem. The surgery was due to take place last week but he was forced postpone the operation after losing his passport.

King returns to Tottenham for rehabilitation and is expected to return to training in two weeks' time.

"Our club captain will fly back home later today and is expected to return to training in two weeks," a statement on the Spurs website read.
