UFC 130 will now be headlined by Rampage Jackson's light-heavyweight encounter with Matt Hamill, after Frankie Edgar and Gray Maynard both suffered injuries ahead of their lightweight title clash.

Edgar and Maynard had been set for a third showdown, but both men face two-month layoffs due to injury, meaning UFC 130 is now headed up by Rampage Jackson.

Lightweight champion Edgar has a rib injury, while Maynard has a knee problem, in addition to some significant cuts on his face. It is now likely that the duo will headline UFC 133 or UFC 135.

Edgar was the first to report his injury, and Anthony Pettis has revealed that - for a short time - he had been called in as replacement to fight Maynard, before the Xtreme Couture fighter also had to withdraw.

"They were going to have me fight Maynard on that card," Pettis revealed. "I said yes to that deal right away.

"I guess it turns out that it's not going to happen. I'm back to fighting [Clay] Guida. It sucks that he got injured, because it kinda puts the whole lightweight division back on standstill."
