A small crowd of just over 3,000 saw the Falcons put on strong attacking display, as the Spanish side struggled to live with the Premiership outfit. The Falcons scored nine tries in all, through S Jones, Noon, May, Williamson, Long, Visser, Swinson, Dowson and a penalty try. Goal kicker Rory Clegg was also on top form, slotting all nine conversions. Newcastle face a much tougher test next weekend however, as they travel to Brive for their second Pool Four assignment.
