Castres were denied a first Top 14 away win of the season as Martin Bustos Moyano's last-gasp penalty earned relegation rivals Bayonne a 21-19 victory on Saturday.

Romain Martial gave the away side the perfect start after crossing the whitewash on eight minutes, with Julien Dumora converting having already added three points with the boot.

Four Christophe Loustalot penalties sandwiched another Dumora penalty and Remi Tales' drop goal as the visitors held a narrow 16-12 lead at the break.

Two second half penalties from Bustos Moyano put the home side back in front, but Dumora's 71st-minute penalty put Castres on the brink of victory. However, the home side were given a penalty for offside and, in the dying seconds, Bustos Moyano kept his cool from the touchline.

Toulon remain top of the table after tries from David Smith, Delon Armitage and Drew Mitchell helped them to a 22-14 victory away at Lyon in Saturday's late kick-off.

Brive earned a bonus-point 36-12 win over Racing Metro thanks to a late try from Romain Sola at Stade Amédée Domenech.

Brive held a 16-9 lead at the interval thanks to Dominiko Waqaniburotukula's sole try and 11 points from the boot of Gaetan Germain. Maxime Machenaud scored all of the Parisians points, which came courtesy of four penalties.

Two further penalties from Germain strengthened Brive's lead before Sisa Koyamaibole took advantage of a tiring Metro side in the final 10 minutes. Sola went over in the dying minutes to make sure Brive took the full five points on offer.

La Rochelle ended Oyonnax's four-match winning streak with a 35-20 victory to strengthen their own survival bid.

Kini Murimurivalu's try and a double from Levani Botia Veivuke had the hosts in firm control, while Peter Grant contributed heavily with the boot.

However, they were denied a bonus point after second half tries from Silvere Tian and Viliami Ma'afu reduced the deficit for the visitors.

Stade Francais were beaten 30-21 as Grenoble's play-offs bid continued in Paris.

Jackson Willison and Florian Faure both went over for Grenoble, while Jonathan Wisniewski kicked an impressive haul of 20 points for the away side.

Jonathan Danty scored two tries for the hosts, either side of a 35th minute yellow card, while Julien Arias also went over. However, despite succumbing to late pressure, Grenoble held on.

Elsewhere, Vincent Clerc's double inspired Toulouse to an 18-13 win against Montpellier while Clermont Auvergne's 31-23 victory against Bordeaux Begles on Friday briefly sent them top of the pile.
