Perpignan concluded their Heineken Cup campaign with a resounding victory over Pool Three whipping boys Treviso.

The French visitors led 24-9 by half-time and never looked like letting the Italians back into the match. Tries from Guilhem Guirado, Nicolas Durand, Farid Sid (2), Adrien Plante, Olivier Olibeau, Christophe Manas and Jerome Porical made it another miserable day for Treviso, who finish bottom of the pool with no points.

Kicking points for Perpignan were shared out between Porical and Steve Meyer. Fullback Brendan Williams got Treviso's only try, which came midway through the second half, with their other points coming from the boot of Andrea Marcato.

Victory was not enough to lift Perpignan to second place in the pool, with Ospreys' victory over Leicester ensuring the Welsh side finished as runners-up.
