Toulouse scrum-half Jean-Baptiste Elissalde has called time on his playing career following their 21-19 triumph over Biarritz in the Heineken Cup final.
Elissalde, 32, was a late addition to the replacements bench at the Stade de France after struggling with a groin injury in recent weeks but did not feature as his side racked up a record fourth European title.
Capped 35 times by France, he played all of his Test rugby at No.9 while also featuring regularly at fly-half for Toulouse. Injury curtailed his international career and his last cap for Les Bleus came in 2008 against the Pacific Islands.
He will play his final games for the Barbarians in the coming weeks as the famous invitational side take on England and Ireland and is reported to be taking up a coaching role with Toulouse from next season.
