Bath have signed Semesa Rokoduguni following the British Army soldier's successful trial at the club.

The Fijian, a reconnaissance tank soldier in the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards, has represented the Army twice, scoring four tries against the Royal Air Force and a hat-trick against the Royal Navy at Twickenham. He impressed during his trial with Bath and scored tries on both of his appearances with their second string before being rewarded with a full-time contract with the Aviva Premiership club.

Head coach Gary Gold said: "Roko really caught the eye playing for the Army at Twickenham earlier in the year, and continued to do so when he came on trial with us.

"He's worked hard throughout his time with the Army, but has the desire to play professional rugby and we believe he has the ability to do so. He is strong, quick, and very committed, both during games and training, and we're looking forward to having him in the squad."
