Northampton Saints boss Jim Mallinder is optimistic England trio Alex Corbisiero, Tom Wood and Courtney Lawes will be fit for next week's game against London Irish.

Wood and Lawes were late withdrawals prior to their win over Bath while Corbisiero was forced off in the second-half with a shoulder injury. England are already sweating on the fitness of Owen Farrell though his prognosis looks promising and the same goes for the Northampton trio.

"Alex took a bang to his shoulder. I don't think it is anything worse than that," Mallinder told the Northampton Chronicle & Echo. "Courtney and Tom trained on Friday at the team run and they just reacted to that. I don't think they are far off.

"There are no major concerns. We have generally got a fit squad. Tom has got a bit of a sore back and Courtney a sore shoulder. They are improving and hopefully with an extra week they will be fit to play down at London Irish on Saturday."
