Kimi Raikkonen's running on day two of the second test at Barcelona was hit by a gearbox problem.

Having completed just four laps in the E21, Raikkonen was confined to the garage requiring a gearbox change and did not return to the track until the final two hours of running. Lotus has already had its running affecting by a data collection problem which Raikkonen revealed has been ongoing throughout pre-season.

"We didn't have any real issues in Jerez," Raikkonen told the official Formula One website. "The biggest problem here and in Jerez is basically the new software. We lose all the data when we are running - that is not very good when you are testing and you have some issues with parts and you cannot see it in real time. The car itself is running well - we just have to get that stupid data logging system fixed."

Despite his setback, Raikkonen was still able to set the third fastest time with his first timed lap on medium tyres and finished the day with a total of 43 laps to his name. Wednesday was Raikkonen's final day in the Lotus this week as Romain Grosjean takes over the car for Thursday and Friday's running.
