Marussia secures Formula One future
Marussia has secured its Formula One future after signing a commercial agreement with Bernie Ecclestone.
Ecclestone signed deals with all of the other ten teams earlier this year, leaving Marussia out in the cold in the absence of a Concorde Agreement. However, the team's sporting director, Graeme Lowdon, has now confirmed that Marussia has signed its deal with the commercial rights holder.
"I can confirm that we have reached an agreement with the CRH and we have signed a bilateral agreement," Lowdon told Autosport. "We can't comment on any of the content but what we can say is that we are very happy to reach agreement. We can move on now as the other teams are."
All of the bilateral agreements are for seven years, tying the current grid to the sport until the end of 2020.
