Ferrari has named Antonio Spagnolo as Kimi Raikkonen's race engineer for 2014 after the Finnish driver paid a visit to Maranello on Tuesday to meet team principal Stefano Domenicali.

Raikkonen is returning to the team from Lotus over the winter after four years away. When he left Ferrari in 2009 he was engineered by Andrea Stella who is now Fernando Alonso's race engineer. In his 2007 championship year he was engineered by Chris Dyer, but the Australian non longer works at the team.

"Kimi Raikkonen was on hand to meet Stefano Domenicali and the senior engineers from the Scuderia," Ferrari wrote on its website. "It was an opportunity to go over the current state of play on the design of the 2014 car, as well as a chance for Kimi to meet up with many old friends who, in a few weeks time will once again be his team. These include Antonio Spagnolo, who next season will the Finnish driver's race engineer."

Spagnolo has worked as an engineer at Ferrari since 2005.
