Gerhard Berger has suffered a broken arm while skiing off-piste in Austria, just 10 weeks after Michael Schumacher's accident in similar circumstances left him in a medically-induced coma.

Berger, 54, was reportedly skiing in foggy conditions when he crashed into a hillside pipe due to the low visibility. His injuries were not life-threatening, and he was discharged from St Johann am Tirol hospital over the weekend with a broken arm.

According to the latest statement released by his management at Grenoble University Hospital, Schumacher still remains in a 'wake-up phase'.
