Championship leader Nico Rosberg has revealed he will be wearing a special edition helmet to celebrate Germany's FIFA World Cup trophy at his home grand prix this weekend.

Germany won the World Cup for the first time since 1990 on Sunday, beating Argentina 1-0 just a week before the tenth round of the 2014 season is due to take place at Hockenheim. Ahead of this season Rosberg changed his yellow helmet to a black version which he will adapt ahead of the race this weekend, a picture of which he tweeted to his followers on Tuesday evening.

Incorporated into the design is the iconic FIFA World Cup trophy, the German flag and four stars to symbolise how many World Cups 'Die Mannschaft' has won. Nico Hulkenberg, Adrian Sutil and Sebastian Vettel are the other Germans on the grid but have yet to reveal if they will do anything similar, though Vettel has been known for changing his helmet frequently throughout his career.
