Giedo van der Garde is not impressed with the feel of his Ferrari-powered Sauber during FP1.
"The rear is so poor in the car."
Kimi Raikkonen's gives Ferrari a rather bleak assessment of his car in the early stages of FP1. Luckily for the Finn, his prospects for the weekend would get better.
"Bonno please, please don't speak to me during my lap."
Lewis Hamilton asks Peter Bonnington for radio silence after getting distracted by the voice of his race engineer during a timed run in qualifying.
"Nico's just hit me! Nico hit me."
As he tries to control his Mercedes with a left rear puncture on lap two, Hamilton tells Mercedes what the watching world had just seen unfold at Les Combes.
"He's cheating at Turn 15, he's cheating!"
Nico Rosberg is unimpressed with Sebastian Vettel's liberal approach to track limits while he is trying to find a way past the Red Bull in his middle stint.
"Can you ask Charlie if that pass was OK?"
But Rosberg knows he is hardly obeying rules of track limits to the letter himself, asking Mercedes to check whether he has to give a place back to Jenson Button after passing the McLaren on the Kemmel Straight later in the race.
"I was pulling away from Bottas so I don't really understand?"
"He might have undercut you."
Having seen his chances of victory evaporate after an early mistake at Pouhon, an increasingly frustrated Vettel questions Guillaume Rocquelin about Red Bull's pit stop strategy.
"OK Nico, you're gonna catch Ricciardo at the very end.
Tony Ross tells Rosberg to keep what doing what he is doing as he continues to eat away at Daniel Ricciardo's advantage on his fresh soft rubber.
"I don't even have the car to get past people if there is a Safety Car."
After pleading for an early retirement to save his engine, Hamilton reveals his damage is so bad he can't even overtake cars outside the points.
"Fantastic drive, unbelievable drive! How did you do that?"
Even Christian Horner does not understand how Ricciardo was able to hold off the charging Rosberg in the final laps.
