Jenson Button may be about to start his 16th season of Formula One but he has no plans to ease up on his famous love of marathon running in 2015.

Button, the third most experienced F1 driver of all-time with 268 starts to his name, was retained by McLaren last year to partner Fernando Alonso. In recent years Button has become an avid competitor in marathons, triathlons and even Iron Man, something he feels is key to maintain the levels of fitness required to remain competitive in F1.

After getting hitched over the winter break to model Jessica Michibata, Button is aiming for more personal success away from the race track in 2015 by breaking his existing marathon personal best - currently two hours, 58 minutes. McLaren also revealed Kevin Magnussen, relegated to the role of reserve driver after the arrival of Alonso, wants to run 5km in under 20 minutes this year.
