Brawn GP topped off their fairytale season by scooping three awards at the Professional Motorsport World Expo Awards in Cologne.

In recognition of an extraordinary season, winning the constructors' and drivers' championships less than a year after facing F1 extinction, the team won all three awards for which they were nominated.

The BGP 001 car, which won eight races this season, won the Vehicle Development of the Year category, while team principal Ross Brawn took home two awards for Design Engineer of the Year and Team Principal of the Year.

"Everyone who worked on the BGP 001 car should be very proud of their contribution to our success," said Brawn.

Jury member Alan Wilson praised Brawn was a worthy winner of the team principal of the year category. "This award reflects Ross Brawn's leadership, which overcame immense obstacles and then maintained its composure while under immense pressure from its competition," he said. "Moreover, 2009 serves to reinforce the brilliance of his roles at Benetton and Ferrari that together establish him as one of the all time greats of Formula One."
