Pirelli has announced that it has passed 50 grand prix wins following the Monaco Grand Prix.
Looking back at the race in Monaco as part of its preview to the Canadian Grand Prix, motorsport director Paul Hembrey was keen to stress the performance levels of the Pirelli tyres and outlined the manufacturer's successes around the streets.
"The pure performance of the PZero tyres was demonstrated by the fact that we were able to set the fastest-ever qualifying lap of Monaco, adding to our record of success, which now includes more than 50 grand prix wins throughout our time in Formula One," Hembrey said.
Pirelli passing 50 grand prix wins was one of the safer bets you could have made at the start of the season, seeing as it is the only tyre supplier to the sport for the next three years...
