The first day of the Abu Dhabi Young Driver Test has begun at the Yas Marina circuit, with six teams present.

Red Bull, McLaren, Lotus, Sauber, Toro Rosso and Caterham have all remained in Abu Dhabi following Sunday's grand prix to complete their tests, with the other six teams having carried out their three days either at Silverstone or Magny Cours earlier in the season.

On day one, Red Bull is running Antonio Felix da Costa, fresh from his strong finish to the World Series by Renault championship. McLaren is running its young driver Kevin Magnussen for the morning, while regular tester Gary Paffett takes over the MP4-27 for the afternoon.

At Lotus, Nicolas Prost - son of four-time world champion Alain - is driving on Tuesday, while Sauber has handed a day's testing to World Series by Renault champion Robin Frijns.

Toro Rosso is running GP2 series runner-up Luiz Razia on the opening day, while Giedo van der Garde will hope for more laps in the Caterham having been unable to set a time during an FP1 appearance ahead of the grand prix.
