There are few people that would rank Marussia's Max Chilton ahead of Ferrari's Fernando Alonso, but that's exactly what has happened in one post-season review.

Following the conclusion to the 2013 season with Sunday's Brazilian Grand Prix - where Chilton finished last of the 19 runners to ensure he completed every race - The Guardian has published its alternate driver rankings where drivers are ordered in terms of performances rather than points.

Sebastian Vettel remains top of the list, but despite finishing as runner-up for the second consecutive season Fernando Alonso is listed 12th of the 22 drivers, one place lower than Chilton who finished the year bottom of the championship.
