Raikkonen expects to retire at end of 2015
Kimi Raikkonen says he expects to retire from Formula One at the end of 2015 when his current Ferrari contract expires.
Raikkonen moved from Lotus to Ferrari over the winter after signing a two-year contract, but has struggled for results this season with just 19 points from eight races.
Asked if he saw himself at Ferrari for a long time, he said: "Until my contract is finished and then I will probably stop. That is what I think is going to happen."
Raikkonen has expressed interest in driving in other series outside Formula One, but said he was not yet sure where he would end up.
"I don't know yet. I've tried many things and there is no harm in it, it doesn't take anything away doing it at the same time as Formula One, I think it can only help and for sure it does not harm. You always learn when you drive different things but the problem is that the teams are scared if we get hurt so there is a big conflict on that.
"In the past when I was at Ferrari I was allowed to do some rallies, and I thought it was a big help and I was doing well at the same time in Formula One. But every team is different. It would be nice, not just for us, but for the fans and the spectators seeing us doing many things and mixing them up."
Asked if being given the freedom to race in other categories would be enough to convince him to stay in F1, he added: "I don't think [so], when I feel it's time to finish Formula One, it's time to finish that. Even doing something else at the same time makes no difference because obviously the decision is about F1 and if it is the right time to stop."
