Stefano Domenicali is sure that Ferrari will not suffer a repeat of its pre-season problems that saw it well off the pace at the start of 2012.

Ferrari suffered with a wind tunnel results issue that left the F2012 comfortably behind the pace-setting cars by the time the teams reached Australia. However, with Ferrari using the Toyota wind tunnel in Cologne while it updates its own tunnel, Domenicali says it is not possible for the team to get the same shock at the first test than it did last year.

"What happened to us last year in the first winter test in Jerez, will not happen to us this year, " Domenicali told Auto Motor und Sport. "Because we are now sure that the wind tunnel gives us no more surprises."

Domenicali also said he didn't expect to see the same development race in 2013 as last season due to the need for teams to focus more on the 2014 cars.

"The upcoming season will be decided in the first race, the teams are pretty quick to set to work on the 2013 cars and concentrate fully on 2014. I guess this will be the case no later than July; that's why it is important from the beginning to have a good car. "
