German club Borussia Dortmund insist they have no interest in signing Nicklas Bendtner despite being linked with the want-away Arsenal striker.

Bendtner is widely expected to leave the Emirates during the summer transfer window and his father, and agent, Nicklas Bendtner, has been touting the player around Europe.

"There is an interest from several German clubs," he told Sporten.dk earlier this week. "I can confirm that Borussia Dortmund wish to buy."

However, the Bundesliga side have denied they want Bendtner, with Dortmund's press officer Josef Schneck telling Sporten.tv2.dk: "We have never been interested."

"We're currently at our training camp in Switzerland and have been asked about this by German, Swiss and many other reporters. But believe me, there's nothing in this at all."

Hamburg, Sporting Lisbon and Newcastle United have all been linked with a move for the £12 million-rated Bendtner.
