Taarabt on verge of PSG switch

QPR forward Adel Taarabt is on the brink of completing a transfer to Paris St Germain after being left out of his club's pre-season tour to finalise the move.
QPR are reported to have received a £13.5 million bid for Taarabt from the French Ligue 1 side and appear resigned to losing their want-away Moroccan international.
Taarabt has not travelled with the rest of the Hoops squad for their pre-season friendlies in England and Italy, and manager Neil Warnock confirmed the 22-year-old's omission was down to PSG's interest.
Warnock said: "Adel won't be coming with us. I think he will be talking to people and staying to do his training. The ongoing transfer saga with PSG should come to a head shortly so we will know one way or another."
Warnock said last week that he expected Taarabt to leave due to the money being offered by PSG and because his family are all in France, along with the player's girlfriend.
But the QPR boss believes he has found a ready-made replacement for Taarabt in former England wide man Kieron Dyer, who has signed a one-year pay-as-you-play deal due to a long history of injuries.
Warnock said: "Kieron's pace would be ideal for that role, and in truth, with all the speculation - I thought Adel might be moving. He's keen to get started again, and so for the time being I have two excellent players who can fill the gap."
