Defender Antonio Amaya has left Wigan after signing a three-year contract with Spanish side Real Betis.
The 28-year-old centre-back arrived at the DW Stadium in the summer of 2009 from Rayo Vallecano but failed to make a Barclays Premier League appearance, playing just three cup matches.
Amaya was loaned back to Rayo last season and has now made a permanent switch to La Liga with Betis.
