Redknapp eyes Adebayor loan

Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has confirmed his interest in Emmanuel Adebayor, but only if Manchester City are prepared to loan out the forward.
Adebayor is well down the pecking order at City, having spent the second half of last season on loan at Real Madrid.
The Togo forward has spoken positively about returning to the Spanish club and Real manager Jose Mourinho has not given up on Adebayor, but he has another potential option available to him.
Redknapp is working hard to keep Luka Modric at the club, but he is also looking at new faces and has spoken to Spurs chairman Daniel Levy about the possibility of bringing in a player who once starred for their bitter north London rivals Arsenal.
"He is a name that was mentioned and I spoke to the chairman about the player, about the possibility of loaning him, but whether they [City] would loan him I don't know," Redknapp said.
"If they would loan him he would be of interest. He is a quality player. We will wait and see."
