Robinho feels for homesick Balotelli

Former Manchester City striker Robinho has expressed his sympathy at Mario Balotelli's claims he is unsettled in Manchester.

Balotelli last week declared he did not like living in Manchester, although he insists he is happy playing under Roberto Mancini at City.

Robinho also failed to settle at City after joining from Real Madrid in 2008, before moving to AC Milan last summer having spent six months on loan at former club Santos. Balotelli moved in the opposite direction, rejoining former Inter boss at Eastlands from Inter Milan.

Since joining City last summer, Balotelli has been in the headlines as much for his off-the-pitch exploits as his achievements in a City shirt, and Brazil international Robinho is unsurprised by Balotelli's revelations that he is finding it hard to settle off the pitch.

"It doesn't surprise me," Robinho said. "He's not the first one to have difficulty in that city. I don't know if he will decide to stay or go. But I admit that I understand him. You don't live well in Manchester."
