Adebayor and Bellamy surplus to requirements - Mancini

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has warned Emmanuel Adebayor and Craig Bellamy they do not feature in his plans for the new Premier League season.

Adebayor spent the second half of last season at Real Madrid, while Bellamy was on a season-long loan to Cardiff, and although both players are free to leave Eastlands this summer, they are yet to find a new employer.

With record signing Sergio Aguero joining an already-bursting strikeforce including Edin Dzeko, Mario Balotelli and wantaway skipper Carlos Tevez, both Adebayor and Bellamy are surplus to requirements.

Bellamy has been linked with a return to Cardiff or Celtic, while Sunderland boss Steve Bruce has also expressed his interest. Former Arsenal striker Adebayor looked set to join Madrid on a permanent deal, but such a move appears to have fallen through. But even if either player fails to secure a move, they have been told they are unlikely to feature for City this season.

"These players [Adebayor and Bellamy] are not part of my plans," Mancini told The People.
