Romelu Lukaku has revealed that his imminent move to Chelsea is a "dream" - and admits that he expects his Stamford Bridge debut to be an emotional occasion.

The Belgium international is poised to complete an £18 million switch from Anderlecht to the Blues over the next couple of days, providing he successfully comes through a medical in London on Monday.

The powerful striker, Chelsea's major summer signing to date, is seen as a natural heir to target man Didier Drogba who, at 33, does not have long left at the top level.

And in a clip on YouTube from documentary De School von Lukaku, which followed the striker's life at the Anderlecht-affiliated Sint-Guido Isntituut, Lukaku makes plain his love for Chelsea during a 2010 visit to Stamford Bridge.

"The day I play here in this stadium will be the single time in my life that you would see me cry," he said. "I'm going to succeed, I'm not dreaming. I'm going to play here someday, I'm sure. What a stadium this is."

Lukaku, 18, has already held discussions with Drogba on life at Chelsea, who are about to embark on their first Premier League season under the stewardship of Portuguese boss Andre Villas-Boas.

"I was with the national team and Vincent Kompany was talking to Drogba and he gave me the phone," Lukaku said. "We spoke for about 30 minutes and I asked him a thousand questions. It was a very emotional moment. These opportunities don't come along very often in a lifetime and you have to make the most of them."
