Norwich complete capture of Liverpool defender Ayala

Liverpool have announced that Norwich have completed the signing of defender Daniel Ayala.

Ayala, 20, spent four years at Anfield after joining the club from Sevilla in 2007 but made only five first-team appearances. He spent time on loan in the Championship with both Hull and Derby last season.

"Liverpool have confirmed Daniel Ayala has completed his transfer to Norwich City,'' said a statement on the Red's official website.

Meanwhile, Liverpool have welcomed Steven Gerrard back into the fold, although the skipper is not yet ready to return from injury against Arsenal this weekend. "Stevie will be stepping up his recovery this week," Dalglish told reporters.

The Reds also offered news on their two other injury concerns, with Martin Skrtel back in training after a calf problem while Fabio Aurelio awaits news on an Achilles injury.
