Sociedad swoop for Vela
The exodus from Arsenal shows no signs of slowing down, with Carlos Vela joining Real Sociedad on loan subject to a medical.
Arsenal fans have seen Cesc Fabregas and Emmanuel Eboue head for pastures new in recent days and they are set to be followed out of the door by Vela.
Vela has long been held in high regard at Arsenal, but the Mexican has so far failed to nail down a regular spot in the side and has spent spell; on loan with UD Salamanca and West Brom.
The 22-year-old's agent indicated earlier in the summer that a loan move to La Liga was highly likely and it is Sociedad who have won the race. Vela will now head to Spain for a medical before inking a contract for a season-long loan.
Pedro Botelho will follow Vela to Spain, as the 21-year-old defender will spend the season on loan at Rayo Vallecano.
