West Ham receive Olympic Stadium boost

Tottenham have suffered a further setback in their fight for the Olympic Stadium after the Olympic Park Legacy Company (OPLC) decided not to reconsider their recommendation of West Ham as the preferred bidder.
A six-week investigation by auditors Moore Stephens was launched following allegations that Dionne Knight, an OPLC director, was paid by West Ham during the bidding process.
However, the report concluded that there was no evidence to suggest Ms Knight had access to confidential information relating to the stadium process, nor that she influenced the stadium 'preferred bidder' selection process.
After considering the report, the OPLC board confirmed it would not reconsider their recommendation to select the consortium of West Ham United FC and the London Borough of Newham as the preferred bidder for the legacy use of the Olympic Stadium.
Tottenham are still seeking a judicial review of the decision, and are due to present evidence at an oral hearing at the High Court on August 24.
