Warnock cool on Crouch and Cole talk

Neil Warnock has admitted he is working overtime in a bid to bring in new faces to Queens Park Rangers, but played down talk of moves for Joe Cole and Peter Crouch.
With QPR now under the ownership of Tony Fernandes, Warnock has been given the green light to raid the transfer market.
Fernandes has not given Warnock a blank cheque, but he has money to spend and has been linked with a string of players. Liverpool midfielder Cole and Tottenham forward Crouch are two players in the frame, but the R's chief feels they may be beyond his grasp.
"I'd love Joe Cole and Peter Crouch but I don't think they'll be at QPR," Warnock said. "It's nice to be linked with people like that.
"When Crouch was first mentioned, I didn't think we could afford one of his shoe laces.
"I've only made one enquiry for Scott Parker and haven't been in since. We have a number of options and I'm optimistic about them."
Tottenham midfielder Jermaine Jenas is another player being linked with a move to Loftus Road and it is likely Warnock will be a busy man in the coming days.
"It's all right having money and making offers but getting them to sign and move on with you is a different ball game," Warnock said. "In 10 days, I've got to do 12 weeks' work."
