Spurs make move for Parker

West Ham United have confirmed they are in talks with Tottenham over the sale of Scott Parker.
The Hammers' relegation from the Premier League last term led to talk that Parker would head away from the club in order to ensure he did not drop down the England pecking order.
West Ham have held on to him so far, and the midfielder has featured in their opening Championship encounters, but they have always been braced for bids.
The club have maintained that their preference would be a season-long loan, in the hope that they can bounce back at the first time of asking. There has been no word on what type of deal Spurs are looking at, but the two sides are in talks.
Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp is an admirer of Parker and has seemingly moved for the England man after Real Madrid enforcer Lassana Diarra ruled out a move to White Hart Lane.
