Van der Vaart out for six weeks with hamstring tear

Tottenham midfielder Rafael van der Vaart has been ruled out for up to six weeks with a hamstring injury.
The Netherlands international hobbled off during Tottenham's 5-1 defeat at home to Manchester City last weekend, and scans have revealed Van der Vaart has torn his left hamstring.
A statement on Spurs' official website confirmed that the Dutchman could be out of action for up to six weeks.
The news will come as a blow for Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp, who will be without Van der Vaart for Premier League clashes against Wolves, Liverpool and Wigan, as well as the north London derby against Arsenal at White Hart Lane. He will also miss the start of Spurs' Europa League campaign.
