Sinclair hits out at Chelsea over handling of youngsters

Swansea winger Scott Sinclair has criticised former club Chelsea for not giving youngsters enough opportunities to progress.
The 22-year-old moved to Stamford Bridge from Bristol Rovers as a highly-regarded prospect in 2005, but was only given fleeting chances to impress for the Blues as he was regularly farmed out on loan to a number of clubs lower down football's pyramid.
Having made the decision to join Swansea City last summer and then helping them to promotion in his first season at the club, Sinclair believes he was right to leave Chelsea - and has criticised the club's attitude to bringing through youngsters.
"Would I have got a chance at Chelsea under Andre Villas-Boas?" Sinclair, who is set to line up against his former club this Saturday, said in The Sun. "It depends what you mean by chance. To me, 10 minutes here and there is not a chance.
"A chance is playing week in, week out. They have some great quality youngsters but it's very difficult for them to get in."
